Am I against Congress ?

Namaskar!

I will be issuing an appeal to the people not to cast their vote for the forthcoming legislative assembly elections to be held in five states along with Uttar Pradesh if the government does not pass the Janlokpal Bill in the Parliaments Winter session. When I made this announcement on Gandhi Jayanti people from every corner of the world have been trying to get in touch with me and my associates to know what exactly my stand on the matter is. I want to clear a few things.

64 years have passed since our country achieved freedom. Majority of times Congress has been in power. After attaining ‘independence’ our country should have transformed in to ‘Surajya’(welfare state in true sense) In real sense there should have been development instead of exploitation of nature and human beings. Nothing of that sort happened. Development today is an illusion created by the government and at the same time people are being cheated in to believing that development in real sense is being carried out (here the party in power does not matter). Corruption has crossed its all limits. Even a meager 10 paise of the one rupee spent for development does not reach the common man. The money disappears before it percolates to the society. It is becoming unbearable for the common man to survive in such conditions. Hence it was necessary that the parliament and the law-making body pass strict anti-corruption laws to curb corruption. Unfortunately the ruling Congress party did not take any initiative. The present laws are not implemented effectively or they do not wish to do so. This became clear when Janlokpal Bill was not passed earlier. That is the reason I resorted to protest and later fasting and now I am forced to take a stand on elections.

The demand to pass Janlok Bill which is one of the effective tool to fight corruption is being voiced in Parliament for the last 42 years. No political party has ever shown their (true) support and neither they are interested in creating a corruption free India. The ruling Congress party is more so ever responsible for this state of affairs. As the corruption level rises our country is left with a staggering amount of debt, inflation is on rise, unemployment and economic disparity has intensified thus bringing about a halt to development. The common man is the one who is suffering. If the Congress is unwilling to take strong steps to change the situation, unwilling to pass anti-corruption laws then people should not cast their votes for the Congress party and thereby should not send Congress representatives to the legislative assembly or Parliament. I will surely wait and watch if the Janlokpal Bill is being passed in this winter session. Till then I will maintain my silence. I will give government that is the Congress an opportunity to take action or else will tour all over India raising a storm in its wake.

I want to state clearly that my stand is not influenced by political motive. I am not biased when it comes to extending support to any political party; either in power or in opposition. When I am opposing Congress it doesn’t mean that I am supporting BJP or some other party. They too have not come clean yet. The voters before casting their vote should keep in mind the candidate’s character, his contribution towards the society. People should vote such candidates who always think of the society at large, think of well-being of the country.

Only such people are capable of being elected to maintain the purity of our democracy. They could belong to the ruling party or to the opposition. In this lay the bright future of our country. It is of utmost importance that people remain aware. The ruling party and the opposition fight among themselves rake up issues and create controversies but this is done so as to mislead the common man. When a favorable opportunity for corruption arises they join hands.

26^th January 1950, India became a sovereign republic. Subjects became masters and we elected representatives to legislature, parliament, as per the democratic norms. The elected representatives were the servants appointed by the people to take care of the day to day affairs of the state. Instead the servants started behaving as our masters. On 26^th January the master went in to a state of slumber and the servant resorted to theft. This plundering won’t stop until and unless the master awakens. An awakening of sort has been created with the fight for Janlokpal Bill. Now is not the time to doze off. We have to stay awake for this is not the responsibility of a single person but the onus is on the nation as a whole.

End of a revolutionary in the ‘World of Communication’.

Steve Jobs will always be remembered for his unparalleled contribution to the world of technology. The news of his death is saddening.

Steve Jobs was one of those who sculpted the history of technology by bringing about a revolutionary change that brought the world together. He enabled a line of direct inter-personal communication between people staying in different places at different levels. His contribution will be remembered forever. Jobs used his imagination and futuristic viewpoint as he worked on his research hence his revolutionary thoughts will always hold an important place in modern history.

In the last few years this has been proved time and again with incidences taking place in some of the countries. Technology has been of great help for spreading awareness and organizing people and can be used as an effective tool for those who are suppressed and have to deal with injustice and corruption. Technological innovations have brought about a revolutionary change and are a great form of support. I have personally experienced this during my fight for Janlokpal Bill. Without any doubt, we will need technology at every step of our life.

Steve Jobs is no more. Though he is not present physically his work has immortalised him forever. Here, I will quote Samarth Ramdas ‘marave jari kirti rupi uraave’. It means, ‘When a person is no more he should be remembered for his work’. In today’s modern world, he will remain with us at every step of our life, forever. We are thankful to the soul of technology and the man and the magician behind it called - Steve Jobs!

क्रांती ! मोठ्या पल्ल्याची लढाई…

नमस्कार,

बर्‍याच काळानंतर मी आपल्याशी थेट संपर्क साधत आहे.

यापुढे याच ब्लॉगवरुन मी आपल्याशी वेळोवेळी संपर्क साधणार आहे.

भारतात ‘जनलोकपाल विधेयक’ लागू व्हावे या मागणीसाठी मी आणि आपण सर्वांनी मिळून जे आंदोलन सुरु केले होते त्याचीच पुढे रामलीला मैदानावर क्रांतीची मशाल झाली. संपूर्ण देशातून तुम्ही – विशेषतः माझे युवक-युवती सहकारी उभे ठाकलात . बघता बघता उभ्या भारतमातेचा तिसरा नेत्र उघडला. संपूर्ण जगभरातून केवळ भारतीयच नव्हेत, तर अन्याय-अत्याचार-भ्रष्टाचाराविरुद्ध असणारे अन्य देशवासीयहीं सक्रीय पाठिंब्यासाठी पुढे आले. बहुसंख्य प्रसारमाध्यमांनी जनतेचा हा लढा जनतेपर्यंत पोहोचवण्यासाठी पुढाकार घेतला. या सार्‍यातून एक झंझावात उभा राहिला. ती क्रांतीची सुरुवात होती. दुसर्‍या स्वातंत्र्यासाठीच्या लढाईचा तो प्रारंभ होता.

जनलोकपाल विधेयकासंबंधीच्या काहीं मागण्या संसदेत मांडून मान्य करण्याची ग्वाही संसदेने आपल्याला दिली. पण ग्वाही दिली म्हणजे कायदा झाला असे नाही. अजून आपल्याला बरेच लढावे लागणार आहे. सत्ताधारी वर्ग, मग तो कोणत्याही पक्षाचा असो, भ्रष्टाचारामध्ये एवढा बुडालेला आहे की जनतेच्या हिताची आणि भ्रष्टाचाराविरोधातली कोणतीही सूचना ऐकण्याच्या मनस्थितीत तो नाही. त्यामुळे आपल्याला अहिंसात्मक क्रांती अखंड चालू ठेवावी लागेल. तिचा ठोस कृती कार्यक्रम काय असेल आणि आपण कोणत्या दिशेने जायचे आहे, ते मी याच ब्लॉग वरुन थेट संपर्क करून आपणाला लवकरच सांगेन. तोपर्यंत काहीं गोष्टी आपल्याशी मन-मोकळे करून आपल्याला मला सांगायच्या आहेत.

दिल्लीमध्ये रामलीला मैदानावर मी जेव्हा उपोषणाला बसलो होतो तेव्हापासून सरकारने आणि सत्ताधारी वर्गातल्या काहीं घटकांनी माझ्याबद्दल आणि आंदोलनाबद्दल अनेक अफवा पसरवण्याचे उद्योग केले. जेणेकरून तुमच्या मनात आंदोलनाबद्दल आणि अण्णांबद्दल गैरसमज निर्माण व्हावेत आणि क्रांतीची मशाल पेटत जाण्याअगोदरच विझावी. परंतु त्यांचे प्रयत्न सुदैवाने आणि तुम्हा सार्‍या भारतीय बांधवांच्या शहाणपणामुळे फोल ठरले. तरीहीं क्रांतीच्या प्रक्रियेत खोडा घालण्याचे काहीं व्यक्तींचे आणि शक्तींचे प्रयत्न सुरूच आहेत आणि यापुढेहीं ते थांबतील असे नाही. माझ्या उपोषण सोडण्याच्या संपूर्ण प्रक्रियेत जेव्हा बोलणी होत होती तेव्हा सरकारतर्फे जी माणसे आमच्या टीम मधल्या ज्यांना भेटत होती, त्यातला प्रत्येक माणूस, प्रत्येक मंत्री, प्रत्येक वेळी वेगळे बोलत होता. वेगळे आश्वासन देत होता. शेवटच्या क्षणापर्यंत आंदोलन मोडण्यासाठी असा खेळ चालू होता. सरकारतर्फे वाटाघाटी करण्यासाठी माझ्यापर्यंत जी माणसे येत होती आणि आली त्यातली कोण स्वच्छ चारित्र्याची होती आणि कोण भ्रष्ट होती याची शहानिशा सरकारने करायला हवी होती. मी त्यांच्याशी चर्चा केली ते सरकारचे प्रतिनिधी म्हणून. स्वच्छ माणसे कुठून आणणार असा प्रश्न सरकारला पडला होता का, हे सरकारलाच माहित. माझ्या दृष्टीने ती माणसे मंत्री असतील किंवा लोकप्रतिनिधी. ती काहीं चळवळीवर उपकार करायला आली नव्हती ! त्या व्यक्ती, ते नेते सरकारकडून निरोप घेऊन येत होते. आमच्याकडून निरोप घेऊन जात होते. सर्वात शेवटी मी उपोषण सोडले ते माझ्या आतल्या आवाजावर विश्वास ठेवून आणि सरकारकडून ठोस आश्वासन आल्यावरच ! हे मी इथे लिहित आहे कारण आपणच सगळे काहीं घडवून आणले असा आभास आणि प्रचार काहीं मध्यस्थ म्हणवून घेणार्‍यांनी त्यांच्या लाडक्या मंत्री-महोदयांना श्रेय देण्यासह केल्याचे माझ्या निदर्शनास आणण्यात आले आहे. स्वतःचे गोडवे गाणारे लेख, मुलाखती त्यांनी प्रसिध्द केल्या. परंतु तो सगळा धादांत खोटा प्रचार आहे. सत्याच्या लढाईत आजवर मी कधीच मनाला न पटणारे निर्णय घेतलेले नाहीत. आपणच आंदोलन मिटविल्याचा दावा करणारे भारतीय जनतेच्या आणि स्वातंत्र्याच्या दुसर्‍या लढाईच्या विरोधात काम करीत आहेत, असे म्हणावे लागेल. भ्रष्टाचारविरोधी लढा संपविण्यासाठी भ्रष्टाचाराचाच अवलंब करण्याचा प्रयत्न काहीं मंडळी करीत आहेत असे यातून दिसत आहे. हा धोका लक्ष्यात घेऊन आपणा सर्वांना सदैव सावध रहावे लागेल.

उत्तरेपासून दक्षिणेपर्यंत आणि पूर्वेपासून पश्चिमेपर्यंत संपूर्ण भारताने ज्या आंदोलनाला पाठिंबा दिला, ते आपले आंदोलन, मी उपोषण सोडल्याने संपलेले नाही. उलट हीं तर सुरुवात आहे. लांब पल्ल्याची हीं लढाई आहे. ती दिवसेंदिवस उग्र होत जाईल आणि नेटाने ती लढावी लागेल. सरकारला आणि सर्वच राजकीय पक्षाच्या लोकांना भारतीय जनतेच्या मनात त्यांच्या भ्रष्टाचाराबद्दल आणि त्यातून ते करत असलेल्या ऐयाशिन्बद्दल किती राग खदखदतो आहे याची कल्पनाच नाही. ती कल्पना त्यांना लवकरच या देशातील एकूणच जनता आणि विशेषतः युवक-युवती आणून देतील असा माझा विश्वास आहे.

आपणा सर्वांशी थेट संवाद साधण्यासाठी मी लवकरच संपूर्ण देशाचा दौरा सुरु करणार आहे. तसेच विविध विषयांवरचे, देशातल्या पिचलेल्या जनतेच्या विविध समस्यांवरचे माझे विचार मी या ब्लॉगवर, माझ्या या ब्लॉगसाठी मी निवडलेल्या सदस्यांच्या माध्यमांतून मांडणार आहे. आपणहीं याच ठिकाणी माझ्याशी संवाद साधू शकाल अशी व्यवस्था लवकरच करण्यात येईल.

त्या त्या वेळी संबंधित विषयावर माझे अधिकृत विचार तुम्हाला आता या ब्लॉगवर वाचायला मिळतील.

माझे हे प्रारंभीचे मनोगत संपवण्याअगोदर मी माझ्या सर्व सहकाऱ्यांच्या आणि भारतीय जनतेच्या वतीने ब्रम्ह्देशाच्या (म्यानमार) महान, त्यागी आणि नोबेल पारितोषिक विजेत्या नेत्या Aung San Suu kyi यांचे विशेष आभार मानतो. त्यांनी आमच्या लढ्याला ‘टाइम्स नाऊ’ या वाहिनीच्या माध्यमातून पाठिंबा दिला. Aung San Suu kyi यांचा ब्रम्ह्देशातील (म्यानमार) हुकूमशाही विरोधी लढा हा जगाच्या इतिहासातील एक महान लढा आहे. त्यालाहीं आमचा पूर्ण पाठिंबा आहे.

Revolution! Miles to go....

My Sisters and Brothers,

It is after a long time that I am directly communicating with you.

Henceforth, it is from this blog that I will be constantly in touch with you.

We started a movement demanding that Janlokpal Bill be passed in India and slowly the crusade spearheaded in to a full-fledged non-violent revolution spilling on to the Ramlila grounds. The support of the people and my young friends was overwhelming as they came forward from every corner of the country and their cries awakened India from its deep slumber. Their cries not only shook the very roots of our country but people from world over who had fallen prey to injustice, corruption took active part in the movement. The entire movement was infectious. This was the beginning of a revolution. It was the beginning of India’s second struggle for independence. The Parliament gave us an assurance that they would put forward some our demands from the Janlokpal Bill and get them approved. But assurance doesn’t necessarily mean law. A bigger fight awaits us. The ruling class, either it’s the party in power or the opposition, is steeped in corruption and hence doesn’t give a second thought to the interest of the common man or acknowledges the tremendous rise in corruption at every level of power grid.

Hence, the need of the hour is to continue with the non-violent revolution. It will be through this blog that in future, I will convey what has to be done henceforth the steps that we need to take and the direction this revolution will head towards. But before that I would like to share some of my feelings with you.
As I sat for the fast on Ramlila grounds (though it began in Tihar Jail) the Government and a part of people in power started spreading rumors about me and our movement. It was done maliciously so as to create misunderstanding about me and the movement in the minds of the people. Their aim was to dampen the spirit of this revolution. It was only due to the sensible people of India that they could not succeed in their conniving activities. Some of them are still trying to impede my efforts. As talks progressed regarding me giving up my fast, the people who came to meet my team members, the middle-man, the Minister all of them had different versions, different assurances. Till the last moment they tried to break the movement. It was the responsibility of the government that they scrutinize the people they had sent for negotiations whether they were corrupt or had clean image. That was for the Government to think. I held talks with them considering they were Government representatives! The answers lay with the government. According to me they could be Ministers or People’s representatives. They were not here to show their gratitude towards the movement. They were mere government’s messengers carrying words to and fro on both sides. It was only when my inner voice permitted me I broke my fast after getting assurance from the government. The reason I am clearing the misconceptions here is I came to understand some government agents tried to propagate and create an image that it was the handiwork of their favorite ministers that I gave up my fast. I came across articles of self-praise, interviews published by them. This is a false propaganda. In my fight for the truth I have never ever taken decisions that went against my line of thought. The people who claim that it is because of them that the movement could be curbed are the people who are against the Indian common man and enemy of this second freedom struggle. Such people in order to end the fight against corruption are resorting to corrupt methods, as is seen.

This is a probable danger which we should all be wary of. From every corner of India: north to south and from east to west, people gathered in large numbers pledging their support for the movement. A movement on such a large scale is not over yet just because I ended my fast on Ramlila grounds. That was just a beginning. This movement still has a long way to go and very soon it will acquire anon-violent but intense flavor of nation-wide revolution. The fight has to be fought till the end self-righteously, till it achieves a positive aim. People belonging to various political parties are not aware of the boiling volcano in minds of the common man against their corrupt ways and super-luxurious way of life. I believe, very soon they will come face-to-face with the reality and this will be done by the people and the youth of India.

To enable a one-to-one conversation with you I will soon embark on my journey throughout India. I will be addressing problems faced by people at every step of life and will voice my thoughts through this blog created by the people appointed by me.Interactive communication on this blog will start very soon. Before I conclude I would personally like to thank on behalf of my associates and the people of India, Myanmar’s great Aung San Sui Ki, Nobel Prize winner for her sacrifice for the sake of her nation. She commended our struggle against corruption in a special interview given to ‘Times Now.’ The fight against the dictatorship regime in Myanmar is one of the greatest struggles in world history. We pledge our support to her.

I will soon meet with a new line of thought.
